MCHN Anti-Intrusion and Fraud Detection System (AIFDS)

Fraud and security threats continue to evolve, and the systems you rely on for customer protection need to perform and stay ahead of the changing threats. The MCHN AIFDS system was designed to be easily updated as new threats or fraud patterns emerge. The ability to be proactive with security updates will minimize the potential impact from new security threats or prevent any initial threats.

Additionally, in compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards, only PCI-related data is transmitted with no PCI-sensitive information stored. While MCHN is subject to the rules and regulations pertaining to PCI compliance, the company enforces the practice of not storing PCI-related data in order to minimize exposure.

AIFDS

ADDED SECURITY – The MCHN AIFDS solution sits on top of our clients’ existing security. In this manner, we are able to efficiently increase transactional security without unneeded duplication of transaction processing overhead.

LAYERED MODEL – The security methods used range from a blend of transaction specific rules (such as a transaction limit), to offline logic that analyzes the behavior of entire populations, or a process for detecting potential fraud and taking action.

REAL TIME and NEAR REAL TIME – While fraud can be stopped in real time at the single transaction level, alerts can also be generated instantly as needed for both legitimate and suspicious activity, and reporting/analysis can be presented on “live” data. MCHN can also apply offline logic to stop offline transactions from occurring and chase down emerging fraud patterns shortly after transactions occur – thus minimizing their potential impact.

DATA PROTECTION PROFILE – MCHN maintains a small footprint to minimize risks associated with the potential loss of sensitive data. Unlike systems that store card numbers and other sensitive information that could be exposed in a breach, MCHN has designed a system process that avoids the need for storing Payment Card Industry (PCI) cardholder data, such as a card number or similar information. With this system, MCHN avoids the potential for confidential data to be compromised.

SECURITY CENTRIC DEVELOPMENT– As a member of Microsoft’s BizSpark One program, MCHN is using the Microsoft® Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) to ensure that MCHN Mobile Solutions is developed with optimized security and vulnerabilities are discovered in early stages.
